All primary schools receive a sports grant yearly. This is intended to improve P.E and sports provision in primary schools. In 2020/2021 we received £17, 790 and in 2021/2022 we received £17, 780.
Little Bloxwich has decided to use the allocated funding to provide additional specialist sports coaches throughout the school. Some staff work alongside these coaches to increase their subject knowledge and confidence.

The funding also supports the appointment of a specialist sports coach who plans and delivers a range of sporting activities to KS1 and KS2 during lunch times. This has meant that an increased number of children are actively taking part in sporting activities during lunch times. Lunch time supervisors also engage children in small group sporting activities.
The same sports coach runs an after school football club, multi-sports club and dodgeball club.
