Support for Parents
Hello! I’m Jackie Robinson and I am your Parent Support Advisor at Little Bloxwich Primary School and my role is to support you as parents/carers to help you and your children gain as much as possible from their school life.
Parenting isn’t an easy job and at times things can get really tough – homework can seem daunting, finances are often stretched to the limit and problem behaviour can be really upsetting. I am here to help you deal with any worries or concerns about your child and to help you tackle any home issues that are making school life difficult for you and your family. If I cannot help you, I can refer you to specialist agencies or support services if you wish.
I have experience in supporting parents with routines, sleep and managing challenging behaviour.
As the Mental Health Lead in school, I am working with small groups of children to help them understand their emotions and how to manage them.
What are my responsibilities?
- Act as a link between home and school including making home visits
- Offer a range of services to children and families requiring support and information
- Help children to increase school attendance and minimise absences
- Help children with any worries that they have in school
- Support parents in continuing to maintain a positive relationship with school
- To support parents by helping improve their parenting skills, for example running basic parenting classes and other courses that would be appropriate.

- Routine and boundaries to support children’s behaviour
- Safeguarding concerns
You can find me on the gate every morning from 8.45am – 9.00am so please come and have a chat.
