Our School Councillors have had a busy couple of weeks. On Thursday 23rd January 2025 our KS2 Councillors went to our local Asda store to purchase food for our local food bank. This was using the money that the children had raised following a Christmas raffle. Then on two consecutive Mondays, the KS2 Councillors delivered the food to the foodbank, helped the volunteers with the packaging of the food to people who need it.
Also during the afternoon on Thursday 23rd January the KS2 Councillors visited Walsall’s Town Mayor – Councillor Harris at the Mayor’s parlour and he who spoke to the children about his role as a councillor and showed the children the Council Chamber where the councillors meet to debate and vote. The children had a wonderful time.
